Dev. Log #1

Currently the process of writing “Shattered” is a bit stressful, but I’m going to follow the advice given by my friends. Just as a quick update, the prologue currently has 556 words… but by time I finish the chapter, I’m hoping it will have around 3-7k words in total.

I never quite knew how much this project was gonna be on me, but I swear that I refuse to give up on it. I oftentimes find that it helps to listen to music of other visual novels, so that when I write… I can invoke the feeling that I want to invoke during “insert scene”. My goal for “Shattered” is to make an amazing story that people can relate too, but the entire reason why development on JUST THE STORY ALONE is taking a long time, is just because of mostly myself. (and burnout, don’t forget burnout :3)

I’m constantly worrying about what other people will think of it when it’s finished, or what I expect out of myself when I should just be really focus on telling the story that I want to tell. I shouldn’t care about what people think about the story, everybody is entitled to their own opinion.. just so long as I tell the story in a respectable way (considering it has some very sensitive topics, or at least I plan for it too.).

If there is anything I’m learning from writing ‘Shattered” so far, it’s that.. you have to find ways to sort out your problems, and if a break is needed… use it, no point in stressing about something if you don’t truly even know the outcome.

Thank you for reading. ~Speedy
